administrations under a range of
programmes aimed at fostering and
preserving community life.

The Senior
Citizens Clubs |

The Senior Citizens Clubs encourage
socially active lifestyles for all its members. They
offer a variety of programmes and activities for the
benefit of everyone
|

A National Youth Policy lays the
foundation for a comprehensive programme of youth
development. The programme places emphasis on social
integration, self-development and positive lifestyles.
It embraces the participation of both government and
non-government agencies.

Neighbourhood
Recreational Activities |

Launched in 1999 the programme is
increasingly attracting children in the
sub-communities. They provide opportunities within
neighbourhoods for children to interact in positive
activities in such areas as sports, leisure games,
culture, skills development etc… Support to the success
of the programme is provided by parents.
The programme contributes to the
strengthening of a family spirit within the
neighbourhood. |
