The Section, which was set up upon the recent restructuring of the department in 2003, entails two units, the Emergency Unit and the Environment Unit.

The Emergency Unity through the District Administration office manages and coordinates district emergency response and prevention at district level.

Each district has a group of 18 volunteers under the management of the District Administration’s office.  The Emergency Brigade is mandated to provide assistance to residence and carry out preventive actions relating to disasters in the community.
