Local governance

The DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION serves as an interface between the Local and Central Government. Through established mechanisms and structures the District Administrators keep the Minister abreast of developments within their respective jurisdictions. They are seen as a key figure in the community. The office of the District Administrator plays a leading role in harnessing and coordinating community efforts and actions at all levels. It also ensures effective partnership opportunities with elected authorities having interest in the local community

The SECTION is responsible for:
Ensuring that District Administrations operate as per set Standards and abide to government Policies and Regulations.
Ensuring active participation of the community in the affairs of the District.
Developing excellent collaboration and partnership with all Stakeholders.
Ensuring effective service delivery at District level.
